How do I connect?

  • Please make sure that the WIFI antenna is turned on. Either swipe down from the top of the screen to reveal the shortcut menu, and select the WIFI icon:

  • Or find and click the “settings” icon

  • And select the WI-FI option:

  • Once WIFI is turned on, please select the appropriate network (#GreatWorldCityWifi) from the page once networks are listed.

  • The device will display a message at the top of the screen. Swipe down from the top of the screen and click on this message, or alternatively open a web browser and try loading a new page.
  • If the web browser has already been open, please do not refresh the page in the browser.
  • Please navigate to a new page. You should now see the WIFI login page. Please follow the online prompts to obtain WIFI access.

 

Apple iPhone / iPad / iPod

 

How do I connect?

  • If the WIFI is turned on, please select #GreatWorldCityWifi from the WIFI setting page once the device has scanned the available networks.

  • The login functionality should then bring up the WIFI login page.

 

I can see the network, but I’m not getting the Login Page

  • Through the WIFI network selector

  • Please select #GreatWorldCityWifi from the WIFI setting page once the device has scanned the available networks.
  • The login functionality should then bring up the WIFI login page.

  • If this does not happen immediately, please wait a while.
  • If the page does not load, please try the following in order:
    1. Turn off and on the WIFI, by swiping the button. Then please try reconnecting to the network
    2. Forget the network by clicking the info icon on the right hand side of the network name (highlighted in red as shown)

      • Select “Forget this network”
      • Then “Forget” on the pop-up
      • Please try reconnecting to the network.
    3. Turn the device on and off
      • Then please try reconnecting to the network.
    4. If it still doesn’t display the WIFI login page, but you do have a WIFI signal at the top left corner of the device.
      • Then please open the safari browser, and try to load a new page. This may prompt the WIFI login page to load.

 

I am having connectivity issues with my iOS device

Please make sure you are using the latest version of iOS software

 

Apple Mac Laptop

 

How do I connect?

Please make sure that the WIFI antenna is turned on. You can do this by clicking the WIFI symbol in the system tray at the top of the home page.

This will display the turn WIFI on/off option and all available networks at your location (if WIFI is ON).

Select #GreatWorldCityWifi, and the Mac will recognise that you are trying to connect and will launch the WIFI login page. (See below)

Simply follow the onscreen instructions to connect to the internet.

Alternatively you can click on the System Preferences button at the bottom of the screen.

This will bring up the system preferences window where you can select the “Network” icon.

In the Network window, you can turn WIFI on and off, and join WIFI networks.

Select #GreatWorldCityWifi from the dropdown menu, and the Mac will recognise that you are trying to connect and will launch the WIFI login page.

Simply follow the onscreen instructions to connect to the internet.

 

Windows Laptop

 

How do I connect?

Click the “wireless network connecter” in the system tray and select #GreatWorldCityWifi

Once connected, the system tray will have a warning icon next to it.

Open the web browser and load a new page

If the web browser is already open, please do not refresh the page in the web browser.

Please navigate to a new page. You should now see the WIFI login page (See below). Please follow the online prompts to obtain WIFI access.
